West Midlands Area sponsor Dairy Partners is offering £1,000 to the owner of the horse that scores the most points in a series of 26 races, commencing at the Harkaway Club fixture on December 27th 2019 and finishing at the Albrighton & Woodland (South) meeting on Monday May 27th 2020.

The Championship is open to ANY HORSE running in these qualifying events which includes all the Mens, Ladies and Mixed Opens which take place in the Area plus other selected events (See the list of qualifying races below).

The series of events includes two races at Andobversford Races on Sunday April 5th, being the two feature Open races, the Robert Hitchins Group Andoversford Grand Annual Chase, and the MArtin & Co LAdies Open. This latter race will have a shortened distance for the first time in 2020, now 2m6f.

The Gwillam’s Annual Hunter Chase at Worcester on Friday 25th May, provides an additional opportunity for horses to bolster their chances of securing this prize. This has normally been restricted to horses qualified with West Midlands packs, but has been extended this year so whichever Hunt a horse has been qualified with, an owner is eligible to run if his/her horse finishes 1st or 2nd in one of the 26 nominated races.

"We're delighted our two main races are included in this series," commented Peter McNeile for Andoversford Races. With top prixze money of £5,000, and no race worth less than £750, there are plenty of reasons to run at Andoversford next April, and we look forward to seeing the best of our scene compete at Open level with this added incentive."
