Eurobot, easy winner of last season's GX Land Rovers Open Maiden at Andoversford, opened his account under Rules at Cork on Sunday in a Maiden Hurdle for trainer Nole Meade and jockey Sean Flanagan.
Showing good stamina in soft ground over the extended 3m, Eurobot was always handy, took it up 2 out and kept on well to beat the one-paced Getaday and Invincible Cave.
Eurobot has earned a big reputation in a short racing career. Winner of his only two starts, he was snapped up by Gigginstown House Stud at the Aintree Sales just weeks after his bloodless win at Andoversford for a six figure sum. He continues a recent trend for top flight horses to win Maidens at Andoversford following Poetic Rhthym in 2016, subsequent winner of the Grade I Challow Hurdle at Newbury in 2017.
