If your idea of Heaven is eating and drinking the very best in food and drink and knowing exactly where it's from, chatting with the producers who grow and make it and trying tasty mouthfuls, then you need to be at Andoversford Races on Sundays April 8th and 15th. Join Adam Henson from 1030am for a very special morning celebrating the first Happerley Food Heaven. Happerley is a food provenance organization and every single mouthful for sale in its Food Heaven will have been verified and checked. If it says it's made in Gloucestershire, from ingredients grown or reared in the county, you can trust that it has. The Happerly logo is a sign of validation and verification, from start to finish.

Matt Rymer is the founder of Happerley and a Gloucestershire farmer himself. "We're all so excited that we can now deliver a fully authentic food experience to consumers. For so long people have been sold down the river by clever marketing and disingenuous labelling and brands. Shoppers haven't known whether the Gloucester cheese in their basket really is an authentic local product made from the best local ingredients or from someone based in the county shipping cheap ingredients from anywhere. We're a global organization but we felt it only right to launch our Food Heaven here in our home county where we have our HQ.

Matt Rymer, Best of Our Counties Matt Fletcher, Adam Henson & Andoversford Races' Peter McNeile launch Happerley Food HeavensMatt Rymer of Happerley, Matt Fletcher of Mid Counties Co-Op, Cotswold Farm Park host Adam Henson and Andoversford Races' Peter McNeile get Food Heavens off to a brisk start.

Food Heavens at Andoversford Races is supported by Mid-Counties Co-op, Best of our Counties range which has piloted the scheme. Phil Ponsonby is its CEO. "Transparency is very much a Co-op mantra and Food Heaven gives visitors just that; a clear verified view of what's in their food and drink and where it's from. It's also a celebration of wonderful local produce, and I'm really looking forward to its first outing."

Visitors to Andoversford will be able to meet Adam Henson BBC Countryfile presenter, and enjoy drinks and nibbles while filling baskets with the finest local ingredients, foods and drinks to take home. During the day there will be demonstrations, tastings and ideas of how to make the best of spring produce, and of course where it's from. Information designed specially for children to enjoy will also be on hand.

"I've been to Happerly Food Heaven" hessian bags will be available and customers will be encouraged to minimize packaging.

Peter McNeile, Chairman of the Race Committee, added,"Happerley Food Heaven is the right fit for Andoversford Races. We want families to have a great day out at the races, and showcasing this amazing variety of local fare can only add to their enjoyment. Andoversford Races is much more than just a day at the races. Horses and fine food - now that's my idea of heaven!"
